Adica Park near Vukovar in Eastern Croatia is a popular excursion picnic spot. It is located in an oak forest next to a river.
Eco-ethno club Adica was designed as an ensemble of houses: with a restaurant, a wine cellar, several rooms for the presentation of traditional crafts, 6 rooms for tourist accommodation and a covered, multifunctional open space.
Longitudinal houses are the dominant building type in the region. The central building was formed as a group of such houses and the rooms for tourist accommodation are placed in that type of house.
The round canopy, “Suvara”, also comes from the local building tradition.
The ensemble was built of wood, brick and thatch, which were the only building materials in the area until the 19th century.
